This holiday season the South Arkansas Arts Center galleries come to life with a collection of decorated trees that expresses the joy of the season during the 12th annual "The Festival of Trees." The festival is a wonderful way to get into the Christmas spirit and share the beauty of the season. The much-anticipated annual celebration of the evergreen is a gift from the community to the community. The title of this year's theme, "Make your Christmas Merry and Bright" draws inspirtation from the title song "White Christmas" from the upcoming holiday production of "White Christmas." "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas, just like the ones I used to know. May your days be merry and bright, and may all your Christmases be white." Decorating the trees and transforming the Galleries of the South Arkansas Arts Center into a celebration of generosity, friendship, and community just like the Christmases we used to know! Working hand in hand with The Salvation Army, the beautifully decorated trees will make their way to less fortunate families throughout our community that especially need to know that we all make a difference in each other's lives and that someone cares.
