Emily Wood Workshop

Lobby Gallery
April 1 - 27

Exercises in expression dominate the works created by local artists after a recent workshop with award winning Little Rock artist Emily Wood. Wood's workshop focused on getting loose with acrylic paint. Artists represented in the exhibition are: Sandy Bennett, Beth Cooper, Janell Decossas, Nina Helfert, Frank Pope, Julia Slaughter, Rina Thomas, and Julie Trimble.  The works, or studies, were created during a painting workshop last November entitled "Expressive Painting in Acrylic." The 3 day workshop was instructed by Emily Moll Wood.

Wood is a painting and drawing instructor at the Arkansas Arts Center Museum School. She recently completed a Master's of Arts degree in painting at UALR. Emily has been accepted into and won awards in juried exhibitions in Arkansas, Georgia, and Louisiana, including the 53rd annual Delta Exhibition at the Arkansas Arts Center. Wood has previously served as judge for SAAC's Juried Art Competition. Currently, Emily's work can be found at the Heights Gallery in Little Rock.

The exhibition continues in the Lobby Gallery through April 27
