SAAC is pleased to announce the installation of new board members and bid farewell to departing members at the June board meeting.
The SAAC Board of Directors welcomed six new members who will bring a wealth of experience and expertise in the arts, business, and community leadership to the organization. Beverly Allen, Paul Burns, Melinda Garrison, Chelsey Turner, Ann Trimble, as Directors; and Kaila Emery as Theatre Committee Chairperson, will join the existing board members in their dedication to promoting arts and cultural programs in the region.
The center also honored the departing board members who have served with distinction during their tenure. Joanna Benson, Benton Garrison, Kim Newman, Jennifer Stone, Rhett Davis, and Stephanie Tully-Dartez have been instrumental in shaping the direction of SAAC and have made significant contributions to the organization’s growth and success.
“The South Arkansas Arts Center has been a strong organization for 60 years because of the strength and dedication of our members,” said SAAC’s Executive Director Laura Allen. “By agreeing to serve in a leadership position on our Board of Directors, these individuals are giving of their time, talent, and creativity to help guide SAAC forward and ensure that we always keep our mission at the forefront of every decision we make.”
