SAAC invites students of all ages to be “Be Our Guest” for a summer full of fun and learning. Now is the time to sign up to insure your child has a place for the fun that SAAC provides every summer. Since “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast” is this summer’s musical, the theme of “Be Our Guest” was chosen for the summer.

JUNE 12-17 

MUSICAL THEATRE CAMP

Be our guest for a broadway youth musical theatre production of Beauty and the Beast open to Grades 2-10. Director Monroe Moore and Music Director Hannah Bowen team up to lead the kids through the production. A camp orientation will be held on Saturday, May 20 at 10am-Noon for campers and parents to meet with the director. Public performance will be Saturday, June 17 at 2pm.

BALLET CAMP

“Fairytale Frolic” will be taught by Stephanie Lowrey and Cami Lowrey. The campers will be involved in set construction and costume design, as well as classical ballet class. The performance will be the Friday of camp at 6:00PM. •

ART CAMP

Camp will be led by Mike Means, Maria Villegas and Jorge Villegas. Campers will be rotating classes and will spend time with all three instructors.

GLEE CAMP

In “Rock and Roll Heaven”, the kids will explore legends from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with instructor Amy Allen. Grades 3-6 will meet in the morning and Grade 7-12 will meet in the afternoon, with both group coming together to perform for the public. The performance will be the Friday of camp at 6:00PM.

Lights, camera, action … let the mayhem begin! With the instruction of Mike Means the kids will create the idea, write the script, film the scenes, and act in their own original short movies.

MUSIC CLASSES

Instructors Hannah Bowen and Chris McCroskey will offer voice and piano lessons this summer. Beginner to advanced students are welcome. Return completed form signed by a parent with payment to SAAC at 110 East 5th Street, El Dorado, AR 71730.

SAAC members and the out of town guests of current members are eligible for the discounted camp rate. Camp fees for NEW and renewing students include a $20 student membership which is good for discounts on classes and programing for one full year at SAAC.

Class fees are non-refundable. Class sizes are limited & will be filled on a first come basis. Make checks payable to SAAC.
