About the Merkle, Price and Lobby Galleries

SAAC presents a schedule of rotating exhibitions each year of national, regional and local significance with a focus on contemporary and emerging artists including a variety of competition exhibitions emerging from the southern region and beyond, community-based work, and the intersection between fine art and popular culture.

Gallery Hours

  • Monday – Friday: 9am – 5pm
  • Weekends: Scheduled by appointment
  • Closed on major holidays.
  • Closing dates posted on our Calendar Page.

Gallery Tours

Tours for groups are available on request. The South Arkansas Arts Center offers a variety of group experiences for general visitors and schools, from docent-led tours of the changing exhibitions to educational excursions through the performing arts spaces.

How to Submit Work for our Galleries

To submit work for consideration for showing in one of our galleries, send images of your work and your information to info@saac-arts.org. The Visual Arts Committee will review all submissions in June of each year. After review, artists are contacted by the SAAC gallery liaison for scheduling.
