SAAC invites you to a special night of dinner, followed by a performance of the hilarious play, “Lend Me A Tenor” afterwards in the Callaway Theater. Tickets for this over the top night are $75.00 per person.
Directed by El Dorado native, Austin Barrow, this fiercely funny play is set in an ornate and swanky hotel in Cleveland in the 1930’s, and is a hilarious romp through an evening of chaotic misrepresentations and door slamming mishaps of an opera company. It is one of the classic comedies of the 20th Century and you are guaranteed lots of belly laughs from this superbly funny screwball door-slammer!
The galleries will be transformed that evening into a spectacular scene reminiscent of a fantastic art deco hotel from the 1930’s. Tables for the dinner are being decorated by SAAC volunteers to go along with the theme.
The fabulous Italian feast will be presented by Matt Callaway, who is a very accomplished and adventurous chef. His main entrée for the evening, Chicken Marsala, will be served with pasta and garlic bread alongside. The volunteer cooks will be crafting a salad for their table, as well as serving the wine of their choice. A delicious dessert and champagne will be passed at Intermission.
Join in the fun and frivolity of the Dinner and A Play night. It will be an evening you won’t forget!
