It’s time to register for the January virtual Zoom Corks & Canvas – Early Birds Watercolor Workshop – hosted by artist Chris Stone on January 28 at 6pm.

If you’re looking forward to Spring coming early, then this “Early Birds” workshop is perfect for you.  Clear a spot on your kitchen table, get a glass of your favorite beverage, open your computer to Zoom, and get ready to have some fun with friends from the safety of your own home. Each session is limited to 10 participants.

All of the art supplies you need to create the “Early Birds” painting will be available for pickup from the South Arkansas Arts Center. The SAAC staff will even provide curbside pickup on request. The fee for this online Corks & Canvas is $30, and you get to keep the watercolor set provided in your supply kit.

If you want to be a part of this online Corks & Canvas, just follow the link to the reservation form.

“I enjoy encouraging others to try new things. Creating a piece of art can be intimidating, but it doesn’t have to be.  Although I am not professionally trained, I can show you how to have fun and relax without having to ‘try to hard’,” said Stone. A popular and engaging Corks and Canvas instructor, Stone has been leading workshops in a variety of media for the last six years. “My most favorite of all the medium is acrylic and charcoal, but I also enjoy working in oil and watercolor.”

Each month Corks and Canvas is conducted by a different art instructor, who takes the class through the step by step process to complete a work of art in one evening. For more information, please call the SAAC office at 870-862-5474.
