MUSIC

Glee Club 2-6  • $125/$150

BALLET

Ballet Level 1  • $125/$150
Wednesday 4:00-4:45 with Stephanie Lowrey
Level 1 places emphasis on ballet fundamentals and music connection for students kindergarten – 1st grade.

Ballet Level 2  • $125/$150
Tuesday 3:45-4:45 with Elizabeth Wood or Thursday 3:45-4:45 with Stephanie Lowrey
Ballet 2 students will focus on developing techniques learned in Level 1 for students 2nd-4th grade.

Ballet Level 3  • $250/$275
Tuesday 5:00-6:00 with Elizabeth Wood and Thursday 5:00-6:00 with Stephanie Lowrey
Students will focus on strengthening technique with an emphasis on artistic expression for students 5-8th grade. Two classes a week.

Ballet Level 4  • $300/$325

Students will focus on strengthening technique with an emphasis on artistic expression for students 9-12th grade. Two classes a week.

DRAMA

In our ongoing quest to use arts to educate, this class is dedicated to school readiness skills because learning can be fun, and by nurturing the creative spirit we can mold creative thinkers. Class will use acting and movement to help develop fine motor skills, critical thinking skills, vocabulary, and imagination.

Drama 2-8 • James and the Giant Peach, Jr  Casting by Audition / No Fee sponsored by Kiwanis Club of El Dorado

Production Dates April 24-25.  Extra rehearsals the week of show.
Based on one of Roald Dahl’s most poignantly quirky stories, Roald Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach JR. is a brand new take on this “masterpeach” of a tale.  Featuring a wickedly tuneful score and a witty and charming book, this adventurous musical about courage and self-discovery is destined to be a classic.

This is a class for those who love, or want to learn to love the theatre arts. With segments on monologues and scenes from the Classics, and monologues and scenes for college/professional auditions.

Drawing with Digital Tools – Learn the fun of Adobe Photoshop by creating artwork using the design tools and filtering techniques of the program. Create art as easily as using a pencil or brush with the lab’s Wacom Tablets.

Monday 4:45-5:45 or Wednesday 4:45-5:45 with Mike Means

Visual Art K-1 • $125/$150
Tuesday 3:30-4:30 with Maria Villegas
Art activities in childhood are a must to develop the young brain. Painting, collaging, drawing, cutting, and pasting activities develop motor skills, while also providing an important emotional channel. Bring your child to have fun, and in the meantime learn and create wonderful art works.

Visual Art 2-3 Begins August 27 or August 28 • $125/$150
Tuesday 4:30-5:30 or Wednesday 4:45-5:45 with Maria Villegas
Let’s Go to Italy • Students will learn about the art of a great civilization, from Rome to the Renaissance, Leonardo to Michelangelo, portrait to landscape. We will experiment with different techniques, like drawing, painting, and clay, giving them the opportunity to develop their artsy self while creating like the masters!

Visual Art 4-6 • $140/$165
Monday 3:30-4:45 or Wednesday 3:30-4:45 with Maria Villegas
Masks Here and There, and Everywhere • Using different techniques like collage or papier-mâché, while learning about different civilizations, students will create wonderful masks. Emphasis will be on creativity and imagination.

Visual Art 7-12 • $140/$165
Monday 4:45-6:00 with Maria Villegas
This class is intended to enhance the natural abilities of students towards visual art, preparing them to go to college or just enjoying the basics of art and design. Students will also experiment with many techniques including charcoal, pen and ink, and gel markers. This is also an introduction to AP classes by exploring drawing in its diverse range of media and painting on a variety on surfaces.
