We are now taking applications for the Dennis James Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship was established by the family of Dennis James, who was beloved by family, friends, and acquaintances for his boundless spirit, unlimited generosity, refreshing sense of humor and his unwavering faith in God, known in El Dorado and beyond for his remarkable singing ability and acting talent and touched the lives of many who knew him only as a performer.
The scholarship recipient must exhibit a love for the performing arts of music and theatre and be an active participant in those pursuits, have made a contribution to the community in those areas, and pledge to make a life-long contribution and commitment to the arts in their community.
The scholarship may cover the cost of tuition, mandatory fees, and/or books. Application deadline is April 15, 2015.
Applications may be picked up at the South Arkansas Arts Center.
