The South Arkansas Arts Center presents the Arts Academy Student Showcases during the month of December. Showcases are a time for the students to show parents and friends what they have been working on during the fall semester at SAAC.
The schedule for the showcases is as follows: Ballet Showcase will be held on December 1 at 3:00pm. Stephanie Lowery’s K-12 grades ballet classes will present “The Great Reindeer Rebellion”, by Lisa Trumbauer. This fun ballet is sure to be a great way to kick off the Christmas season.
The Teen Drama Club will present “A Midsummer’s Night’s Dream” on December 7 at 7:00pm and on December 8 at 2:00pm. The students are very proud of this production and have worked on every aspect of the play from costumes to sets to acting.
Also, on December 8, enjoy an artist’s reception for the art class students in the Price and Merkle Galleries at 4pm, where their art will be hanging, followed at 5pm by the Glee “Divas Live on Stage” performance in the Callaway Theater, led by SAAC’s own diva, Amy Allen.
Voice and piano students of Charlsie Falcon will perform their recitals on December 15 at 2pm.
Registration for the spring semester is under way now.
