Explore a variety of artistic mediums, movement, and storytelling in a welcoming and supportive environment through hands-on projects, collaborative experiences, and instruction from talented local artists and instructors. Students will discover new skills while expressing their own unique creative voices.

In June, SAAC will host two Visual Arts Camps for students interested in exploring a variety of art forms and techniques with students rotating through classes led by local artists. Instructors for the first camp hosted June 9–13 include Mike Means, Katie Harwell, and Nicole McAdams, while the second camp hosted June 15-19 will feature Mike Means, Katie Harwell, and Michaela Gross; both meet daily from 9:00 a.m. to noon.

For SAAC’s youngest creatives, ages 3–6, two specialized camps will offer playful introductions to both dance and visual art. “Story Time Ballet Camp,” taking place June 8–11, invites little dancers to explore the beloved children’s story Rainbow Fish through music, movement, and storytelling. Led by Kara and Peppermint Rushing, camp sessions will be held daily from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., culminating in a special parent showcase at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Young artists ages 3–6 can also participate in “Mini Art Camp,” running June 16–19. Led by Nicole McAdams and Michaela Gross, the camp provides a fun, hands-on introduction to art through simple projects designed to teach basic skills while encouraging creativity and self-expression.

As summer continues into July, dancers in grades 1–12 can participate in SAAC’s “Spirit of the Tides” Ballet Camp, scheduled for July 27–31. The camp will be divided by age group, with students in grades 5–12 meeting daily from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., while grades 1–4 will meet from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. A showcase will be presented on Friday at 6pm from family and friends.
