About the Callaway Theatre

SAAC presents a series of eight to twelve contemporary performance events each year. SAAC also rents its performance facilities to independent groups who present their own programs in the Callaway Theatre. For more information on these events, visit the calendar section or call (870) 862-5474.

Venue and Seating

Shows are held in the Callaway Theatre, a 207 seat auditorium with a 35 foot prosceniums style stage. Reserved seating is sold to most SAAC theatrical performances. For shows with general admission, it is recommended to arrive early for best seats. Doors open at 30 minutes prior to curtain.

Accessibility

The South Arkansas Arts Center facility has a handicap/wheelchair accessible parking lot, entrance, restroom, gallery and theatre. Wheelchair seating is available for performances in the Callaway Theatre. Please let the Box Office know if you have a person using a wheelchair in your party when you order tickets. Service dogs permitted.

PLEASE NOTE:

• Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to show time
• No flash photography or videotaping allowed
• Please turn off all cell phones and pagers
• There will be NO late seating

Box Office Info

Tickets for most theatre performances, music events and special programs that take place in our building may be purchased through the SAAC Online Box Office, in person, or by phone. Tickets are made available for sale as early as four weeks before a large theatre production or as late as one week before events produced by a visiting organization.

In Person

The SAAC Box office is located inside the lobby of our building at 110 East Fifth Street.

• Monday – Friday: 9am–5pm
• Day of Events: Box Office opens 90 minutes prior to a SAAC theatre performance and 30 minutes prior to most other events.

All phone orders should be paid for two days in advance of a performance; payment can be made in person or sent by mail to have tickets held at Will Call for pick-up before an event. Patrons that do not release their ticket reservations before the show begins will be billed for the tickets. SAAC Members with VIP ticketing service will be waived this fee.

PLEASE NOTE:
Not all programs that are sold through the SAAC Box Office are events hosted by the South Arkansas Arts Center. Please check with your box office volunteer before making your check out to SAAC.

Ticket Exchanges

There are no refunds on SAAC tickets except when a program is cancelled, and only SAAC members may exchange tickets FREE of charge, subject to availability.

Standard Performance Ticket Discounts

SAAC Members and students enjoy discounts off the regular price for all SAAC Performances. The number of discounted tickets per member per program depends on level of membership. For more details on the discounts and other member benefits can be found on our Membership Page. No discounts are offered on special member-only fundraising events.

Discounts on rental performances vary by company. Please inquire at the SAAC Box Office for available discounts.
