The South Arkansas Arts Center has educated and entertained the south Arkansas and north Louisiana areas through the visual and performing arts for five decades. As part of the 50th Anniversary Celebration, the SAAC Film Commission has produced a short film, “50 Years at SAAC”, which will will premiere in the Callaway Theatre on March 28 at 5:30pm.
Filmmaker Gerry Bruno of Let’s Think Productions in Little Rock created a film that focuses on the people who have helped create SAAC’s legacy. Bruno and his team spent numerous weekends interviewing artists and patrons about their connection to SAAC and the reason why art is important and about the impact art has in changing lives.
The film premiere is sponsored by El Dorado Chemical and is free and open to the public. For more information call 870-862-5474.
