Join us for an evening of creativity and colorful inspiration at “Wild About Flowers,” a Corks & Canvas workshop led by local artist Ramona Wood on Thursday, August 20, at 6pm.
Inspired by a recent road trip, Wood’s latest painting captures the beauty of native wildflowers through expressive color and brushwork. Participants will create their own floral masterpiece inspired by Queen Anne’s lace, the warm hues of Indian blankets, and the delicate softness of buttercups while learning techniques that make painting both approachable and enjoyable.
“I brought home wildflowers from a recent road trip,” Wood said. “Then I played with paints and brushes to recreate Queen Anne’s lace, the warmth of Indian blankets, and the softness of the buttercups. This could be someone’s first painting foray or a seasoned artist’s night out – come one and all!”
Whether you’re picking up a paintbrush for the first time or are an experienced artist looking for a fun evening out, this workshop offers a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere where creativity can flourish. All supplies are provided, making it easy for participants to simply arrive ready to paint.
Enjoy an evening of painting, conversation, and celebrating the beauty of Arkansas wildflowers. Guests are encouraged to bring their favorite beverages to enjoy during the class, while SAAC will provide complimentary snacks throughout the evening. The workshop fee is $40.
