SAAC is ready to RUMBLE!!! Come have a “Hog Wild” time with local artist Rhonda Hicks at the September Corks and Canvas art class. This month’s class will be painting Razorback-themed stadium purses — an acrylic painting project where you will paint a Razorback on a clear, acrylic purse. This will be a fun-filled night of painting that is designed for people who have always wanted to try their hand at art and also have some fun along the way.
Hicks will be hosting the Razorback inspired Corks and Canvas class on Thursday, September 21 from 6-9pm. “I’m obviously a Razorback fan, and what a fun way to express my love for the Hogs! You will walk away from the class with a one-of-a kind stadium purse that you can take with you anywhere that requires a clear purse. Heck! You can just take it anywhere, because…Woooooooooo Pig SOOIE!” said Hicks. Rhonda is a currently serving as a member on SAAC’s Visual Arts Committee and is the former owner of Backwoods Art and Framing.
Corks and Canvas classes have something for everyone from the newbie to the seasoned artist. No experience is needed. Enjoy a time of relaxation with your friends re-creating the featured painting of the night. Paints, brushes, and all the supplies are provided. Participants are welcome to bring their own drink of choice.
You can register for the hands-on workshop on SAAC’s website, www.saac-arts.org or call the office at 870-862-5474. Limit of 12 participants. The workshop fee is $40.
