With the holiday season just around the corner, The South Arkansas Arts Center offers a little inspiration to holiday happiness during the next “Corks & Canvas” adult art class on Thursday, October 15 from 6-9pm. Award winning artist Rhonda Hicks, proprietor of Backwoods Art in Frame in El Dorado, will guide attendees into the wonderful world of acrylics on canvas as they create their own 12X12 version of everyone’s favorite “jolly ‘ole elf” Santa Claus.
“Corks & Canvas” is an art class for non-artists who have always wanted to paint. Each class is conducted by a different award-winning art instructor, who takes the class through the step by step process to complete a work of art in three hours. The $40 fee covers all supplies and snacks. Hicks suggest that those taking the class should bring their favorite libation and get ready to have a good laugh.
