You are invited to uncork your creativity at the January Corks and Canvas art class! This month’s class “Visiting from Heaven” is being led by local artist Chris Stone on Thursday, January 19 from 6-9pm. This will be a fun-filled night of painting that is designed for people who have always wanted to try their hand at art and also have some fun along the way.
This month, our artist has chosen an acrylic paint project where you will paint a beautiful, vibrant red cardinal perched on a branch. Stone explained, “I hope this is one that everyone will enjoy. I start noticing cardinals during the winter, but January is my ‘sad’ month where I remember all my loved ones who have passed away. The cardinals have always made me feel like they are checking on me, so it seems like a good January Corks and Canvas theme.”

Corks and Canvas classes have something for everyone from the newbie to the seasoned artist. Enjoy a time of relaxation with your friends re-creating the featured painting of the night. Paints, brushes, and all the supplies are provided, and an experienced local artist will lead you step-by-step through the process of completing a work of art in three hours.
No experience is needed. Just come and have a fun night with friends! SAAC will provide snacks and all supplies needed to create your masterpieces. Participants are welcome to bring their own drink of choice.
