Enjoy a fun evening with family and friends while learning more about all the opportunities SAAC has to offer this Summer. Discover what is behind the curtain with an “Emerald Summer of Oz Pre-Party” in the Merkle and Price Galleries on Friday, May 15 beginning at 7pm.

Meet the director, assistant director and production crew members for the upcoming production of “The Wizard of Oz,” as they share all the details of auditioning for and becoming involved with the Murphy USA sponsored musical. Meet SAAC’s summer camp instructors and discover what is offered in art, ballet, computer animation, drama, and filmmaking during “Emerald Summer: Adventures Beyond Oz.”

Enjoy refreshments and entertainment provided by G.A.S (Gimme A Second) improv group. Meet and get a photo opportunity with our furry star Oliver, who will play Toto for “Oz.” Get an early glimpse at the set and costume designs for the production as the designers discuss their inspirations and visions for the show. Auditions packets will be available and show staff will answer any questions about the audition process and opportunities backstage and beyond.

Registration forms and information will be available for all of SAAC’s Emerald Summer Camps. The camps begin in June and continue through August. Find out about full and partial scholarships that are available and all of the fun, educational, and creative possibilities to turn those summertime blues into an adventure of epic proportions.
