You are invited to an evening of “Supper and a Show” on Saturday, July 16th.
Come on down to the SAAC waterin’ hole for a big ole BBQ supper, complete with all the trimmins!! Paul Choate and Barry Jeffery will be manning the meat smokers all day and will serve brisket, pulled pork and sausage. Also on the menu are Beans, Beans, Beans, homemade slaw made by SAAC volunteers and Texas toast donated by Banderas Restaurant. Dessert will be served at intermission. The summer musical, “110 In the Shade,” sponsored by Murphy USA, will be the featured entertainment for the evening, with the supper being served before the show in the Price and Merkle Galleries.
“110 In the Shade” is set in hot, dry and dusty Texas in the 1930’s during the middle of a long drought, so the organizers picked a BBQ picnic theme for the night. As usual, volunteers will be decorating their own tables following the theme and serving the guests. Party goers will be treated to a signature beverage of Texas Lemonade upon entering the Lobby Gallery and the lively scene of a picnic hoedown.
The fantastic folks decorating the tables this year will be: Julie Trimble, Jane Feinberg, Rhonda Hicks and Melinda Dodson, Marsha and Joey Antoon, Andria Gleghorn, Laura Barrow, and Sandy Mcguire.
Remember, it’s a Texas picnic, so dress the part! Bust out your best boots, jeans and bandanas and come kick up your heels! Tickets for this boot -stompin’ good time are $75.00, which includes the supper and the show. The supper begins at 6:00pm and the show afterwards at 7:00.
For more information, please call the SAAC office at 870-862-5474 or come by the SAAC at 110 East 5th Street, El Dorado, Arkansas.
