The South Arkansas Arts Center would like to introduce its new intern for the school year 2020-2021. This year’s hard-working intern is Hannah Elizabeth, a talented and rising star of the SAAC stage.

Hannah is a home-schooled, 16-year-old tenth grader whose favorite subject in school is learning new languages. Her history with SAAC began when she took a ballet class at age 8. She has also been involved in the HEART homeschool drama productions, where her love for acting was fueled. Other SAAC activities such as summer acting camps, Penguin Project, Youth Theatre, and Teen Drama have kept her busy through the years.

“To this date I have done 15 plays on the SAAC stage with my 16th, ‘The Christmas Carol Radio Show’ being rehearsed right now,” said Hannah. “My favorite play has been ‘Our Town’ through Teen Drama, where I played the character Emily Webb.”

“SAAC has been a wonderful place for me to get acquainted with the arts. I encourage anyone of any age who is interested in painting, acting, dance, singing, etc. to come get involved. I have grown to love not only the place, but the people that make up SAAC. The kindness and warmth you immediately feel when you walk into the building is so welcoming. I am honored to be working among people who have become like family. I get giddy when it’s my work day because I get to spend it with some of my favorite people! Being their intern means so much to me and I am beyond excited for this opportunity.”

The SAAC staff is thrilled to have this bundle of energy helping with all kinds of projects. “My favorite project I’ve worked on so far has been organizing the Monday Painters Room. Putting everything in its proper place and making things tidy is very fun for me!”
