INSTRUCTOR: MELISSA SPEARS
Melissa danced with the City Ballet of Houston under Margo Marshall. She has also taken dance classes from such notables as Robert Joffrey, Ann Reinking and David Howard.
Melissa says, “I feel that classical ballet is important because of the history of the movement. We still do the same steps/movements that were done by such greats as Pavlova, Kirkland, and Farrell. I love the look of joy when the dancers master a step. For hard working dancers that moment in time is priceless.”
“I hope that my students will take away a sense of accomplishment and higher self-esteem,” she concluded.
