Open call for student art! It’s time for a little fun and a little art at SAAC, socially distancing, of course! We invite students to participate in a competition to showcase artwork created at home during the school closures. The competition is free and open to all students. Art is accepted in any medium, and two-dimensional and three-dimensional work will both be accepted. Artist may enter one piece of artwork created while working at home during the quarantine, started on or after March 14.  No entry fee or SAAC membership required, but there is prize money to be won in three grade division.

June 1-5 • Delivery Dates, art accepted
at SAAC Monday and Thursday 9am-4pm and Friday 9am-noon
June 8-26 – Exhibit Viewing
in Merkle and Price Galleries
June 29 – Pickup Date
at SAAC Monday 9am-4pm

Divisions are Grades K-4, Grades 5-8, and Grades 9-12.

Awards in each division will be presented. Prizes are: First Place $75; Second Place $50; Third Place $25. Honorable mentions may be awarded with no cash prizes.

To Enter:
Select one piece of artwork created while working at home during the quarantine. It needs to be ready to display in the gallery. That means 2D work should be able to hang on the wall – in a frame, velcro on the back, pins to hang it from… 3D work is not required to hang.
•• Complete the online entry form here. Enter the students name, grade just completed, title of the work, media, and basic contact information for the family. No paper entry forms.
••• Drop the artwork off at SAAC on June 1-5. Be sure the students name, an email or phone number are also on the back of the piece.

This competition is closed. SAAC is no longer accepting entries.
