Directors Shelton Harden and Victoria Harden
Since moving back to Arkansas almost 25 years ago, Victoria and Shelton have directed, both separately and together, a variety of youth productions. They have also taught a variety of music and theatre courses. With five dogs of their own (not to mention quite a few cats – but we won’t talk about that), it was only natural that they would jump at the chance to co-direct “101 Dalmatians KIDS.” Since they love dancing and singing with their own dogs at home, they can’t wait to bring the joy of dogs to the stage.

Parents and children should plan to be in the theatre for auditions by 6pm on both Monday and Tuesday, January 11 and 12. Directors will provide all instructions and audition materials at that time. Everyone will be taught a song and some simple dance steps. For the speaking roles, a short reading will be provided. Wear appropriate footwear and be prepared to move.
Rehearsal Schedule: Doing a musical takes time and commitment from all involved. Please review the schedule to make sure you and your child can make the commitment to the project. Some roles, i.e., London Dogs, Dalmatian Pups may not be required to attend every rehearsal. Further information on scheduling will be provided by the directing team. Accepting a role acknowledges that you agree to the commitment required. Rehearsals will be Tuesday and Thursday from 6-7pm, with dress rehearsals on March 29-30 and performances on March 31 – April 2. A calendar is included in the audition packet.
Pet owners Roger and Anita live happily in London with their Dalmatians Pongo and Perdita, stalwart dogs devoted to raising their puppies. Everything is quiet until Anita’s former classmate the monstrous Cruella De Vil plots to steal the puppies for her new fur coat. The Dalmatians rally all the dogs of London for a daring rescue of the puppies from Cruella and her bumbling henchmen.
