The highly anticipated production of “The Play That Goes Wrong” has tickets on on sale for the play, as well as the brunch and the raffle. With generous sponsorship from Murphy-Pitard Jewelers and All About Flowers, the special events for the production include “The Brunch that Goes Wrong” and the “Imperfectly Perfect” Diamond Ring Raffle.
This uproarious comedy promises to entertain audiences. The production runs April 4-6 and 10-12, with performances starting at 7:30pm, except for Sunday which is a matinee at 2:30pm. SAAC will host a champagne toast on opening night, Friday, April 4 at 7pm in the Merkle Gallery before the show. Join us Sunday, April 6 for “The Brunch That Goes Wrong”. This special event will feature a nostalgic and delightful menu crafted from vintage recipes that have long been cherished from the original “SAAC Lunch” being served in the galleries between 11am and 1pm. All dishes will be lovingly prepared by dedicated SAAC Board Members. Surprise! It’s not just any brunch. It’s a tribute to the beloved SAAC LUNCH!
Brunch is sure to delight! The menu features a fresh salad with red wine and honey vinaigrette, creamy asparagus soup, and succulent almond lemon chicken over rice. Complementing these dishes are sweet glazed baby carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, and a delightful raisin bread pudding with rum sauce. Guests can enjoy mimosas and Bloody Marys to toast the occasion. All proceeds from the brunch and raffle will be used to further SAAC’s educational and theatrical programming.
Also on Thursday, April 10, guests are invited to an artist’s reception for Gayle Hurley from 5:30-7:30pm in the Merkle and Price Galleries, prior to the performance. Additionally, it will be SouthArk Night for “The Play That Goes Wrong,” with students and staff able to attend for just $5 each.
