Job Opportunities

SAAC is always looks for creative artists to fill key positions for community theatre productions. In addition to a director, job postings may include choreographer, music director or technical director depending on the project. SAAC’s salary schedule is competitive and will be set according to experience. There will be additional opportunities to teach workshops/classes and for visiting artists lodging can be provided if necessary.

Interested individuals should supply a letter of intent, resume, and a short production proposal for the project. Qualified applicants need experience in their area interest and a working knowledge of community theatre. They should have experience working with all ranges of talent, including beginners. You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown – Spring 2019

“You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown” is a fresh approach to the 1967 classic, based on the beloved comic strip by Charles Schultz. Charlie Brown joins Sally Brown, Linus, Lucy, Schroeder, and Snoopy in this charming revue of vignettes. The show depicts an average day in the life of Charlie Brown, with experiences ranging from Valentine’s Day to the baseball season, from wild optimism to utter despair, all mixed in with the lives of his friends (both human and non-human). Based on the Comic Strip “Peanuts” by Charles M. Schultz; book, music and lyrics by Clark Gesner.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame – Summer 2019

“The Hunchback of Notre Dame” will round out the 2018-2019 season as the SAAC summer musical. Based on the Victor Hugo novel and songs from the Disney animated feature, “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” showcases the film’s Academy Award-nominated score and an equally powerful story. Audiences will be swept away by the magic of this truly unforgettable musical. Book written by Peter Parnell, musical score by Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz.
