2D & 3D Original Artwork by Students Grades K-12
Awards Presentation Tuesday, February 9 at 2pm
Come get a glimpse into the artistic future of El Dorado! The South Arkansas Art Center Galleries will be full to brimming with some of the brightest and most colorful artwork you will ever see from some of the youngest and most creative artists in the area. The awards reception for this show will be held on Saturday , February 9th at 2:00 p.m. in the SAAC Galleries. Exciting cash prizes will be awarded by age group by judge Helene Lambert.
The SAAC Student Art Show and Competition consists of 70 works by local student artists. You will be wowed by the amazing art in this show, ranging from watercolor to sculpture, done by students K-12. Gallery manager Kelly Campbell said, “I truly enjoy the student competition – I am truly amazed at the quality of artwork that the students in grades K-12 produce. We have this competition in alternating years, and I always look forward to it!” The 2019 Student Art Competition, sponsored by William P. Cook and Associates, PLLC, will be on display in the Merkle and Price Galleries throught February 26.
