Intensive Scene Study
Adults Thursday 5:30-6:30
Using the coastal method of intense scene study and Alex’s background in Meisner training, students will be asked to prepare a partner scene for class and use the class time to dissect character intention, playing the opposite, and listening to your partner on-stage. This class will require commitment and preparation and is meant for the actor who really wishes to improve their craft.

INSTRUCTOR: ALEXANDER JEFFERY

Born in Canada, an EL DORADO HIGH SCHOOL graduate, and schooled all over the world, Alexander has always carried a deep love for storytelling. As a child, Alexander would point the family video camera at his Star Wars figurines and yell “Action!” and “Cut!” with fervor. Whether it is on stage as an actor, behind the camera as a director, or capturing candid moments on his iPhone, Alexander loves and respects the art of telling a good story.

Alexander graduated from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln in 2011 with a BFA in Film & New Media and a BA in Theatre Performance. The combination of this training gives Alexander an ability to relate to actors, but also technical wherewithal behind the lens. Having won several awards for his work internationally, Alexander is currently living and working as a filmmaker in El Dorado.
