Have you heard? The June Corks and Canvas class is making oven-baked clay earrings! On Thursday, June 13 from 6-9pm, local artist Nicole McAdams will lead participants in making fun and colorful earrings – studs, dangles and anything in between!
Corks and Canvas is designed for people who have always wanted to try their hand at art while also having some fun along the way.
According to McAdams, oven-baked clay earrings are becoming more and more popular. She said, “I’ve been inspired to bring this type of art to SAAC! I’m a beginner with clay myself, but I have enjoyed experimenting with it to create fun pieces to wear and even some to share! You will get a chance to make unique earrings in a variety of shapes even if you’ve never touched clay before! The process is simple: you pick your favorite colors, then the shapes that bring you the most joy, roll, cut, create and bake! You’ll be able to leave with new skills and new accessories!”
No experience is necessary in order to participate in Corks and Canvas. Come enjoy a time of relaxation with your friends recreating the featured project of the night. Paints, brushes, and all the supplies are provided, and SAAC will also be providing snacks. Participants are welcome to bring their own drink of choice.
Get ready to have a fun night with friends. You can register for the workshop below or call the office at 870-862-5474.
Limit of 15 participants. The workshop fee is $40.
