Come learn a loose, flowy, easy way to use watercolors to create paintings of fresh colorful flower bouquets. In this all levels watercolor workshop, students will learn a variety of foundational watercolor techniques, tips on mixing color, creating a variety of brushstrokes, and painting different types of botanical forms. This workshop will feature a more loose and flowy style, so the final artwork created won’t all look the same.
By the end of the workshop, each student will leave with a finished painting, along with the basic skills needed to create their own future artwork. This class is great for both beginners and those who have been playing with paint for years. Supplies are included.
Emily Moll Wood has been a working artist and painting instructor in Little Rock for almost 15 years, mostly at the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts. For the past 2 years, she has found joy and gained sanity by obsessively painting flowers with watercolor.
Supplies: Emily will be bringing a palette full of watercolor paint, a round size 16 brush, and watercolor paper for each participant, as well as some flowers for the group to paint from. Participants are invited to bring flowers they would like to paint from too.
Class Limit 14
